'WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!' shouted Brendon. 'Relax.' said Vincent. After arriving at the point they are suppose to guard, Brendon found out it's just next to the toilet, which really stinks. 'Team, split yourselves into group of 4 and patrol around our spot with shifts of 2 hours interval.' ordered Terence. 'Challenge is star and answer is icepick.' said Terence.
Soon, it was night time. a soldier with the name Edbert is on patrol with another 3 soldiers. Edbert suddenly saw a figure run by. 'Star!' shouted Edbert. there was no reply. 'STAR!!!' shouted Edbert once more, with all four holding up their guns now. The figure then ran out and Edbert shouted once more, 'STAR!!!... GIVE ME A GOD DAMN ANSWER OR I WILL SHOOT!!!'. 'WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!' shouted Christopher. 'GOD DAMN IT!!!' shouted Edbert after knowing its not the enemy. 'I'm here to get Terence and I don't know what should your answer be.' explained Christopher. 'Well, go AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!' cried one of the soldier before he finished his sentence. 'GET DOWN!!! ENEMY!!!' shouted Edbert with all his might. Team A heard his call and everybody picked up their weapon and shot in the opposite direction. The gun fight lasted round 10 minutes. Terence walked over to the bodies of the enemy. 'Looks like they are the recon team from DPRK.' said Terence. 'Sir, we have 3 person injured and no deaths.' reported Vincent. 'Get the medic to clear them up.' said Terence.
'Looks like we will be in the same team then.' said Brendon. 'Looks like it.' replied Vincent. 'Back to the parade ground when you are done!!!' shouted Christopher. Everyone quickly checked their team and then hurried back to the parade ground. 'Hey, Vincent.' Brendon called out. 'What?' replied Vincent. 'That skinny guy just now didn't zip his pants' whispered Brendon after walking past Christopher. 'What the hell did you notice that for?!?!' asked Vincent. 'Well, it was a striking colour.' whispered Brendon even more softly. After what seemed like 15 minutes, everyone arrived back at the parade ground. 'Alright people, I supposed you guys checked the board! There is a meeting place stated next to your team! Now go and gather there!' shouted Joel. Brendon and Vincent headed to their meeting points along with 18 other soldiers. 'Where's our team leader?' asked one of the guys. 'Maybe it will be some old fart.' Brendon answered. 'Sorry to disappoint you.' said Terence as he walks towards them. 'You are our team leader?' asked Vincent. 'That's right. I'm corporal Terence Tay.' answered Terence. 'Now, I have details of everyone in my file. i would now choose a second in command for the group. Vincent Cheong.' said Terence. ' Now, we will be team Alpha. We will be working with team B. Get ready and we will be leaving in 15 minutes. Dismiss.' said Terence as he turns around and walks to the office.
Vincent and Brendon belonged to the same camp, so they boarded the same truck. 'Say, are you scared?' asked Brendon. 'A little. You?' asked back Vincent. 'Ya. Never expect Singapore to be in war.' amswered Brendon as he exhales. 'Joel, this truck is full, ready to go.' said Christopher. 'PFC Chen, you cannot be calling me by first name here. Call me sergeant Khoo.' replied Joel. 'Sorry sir!' apologise Christopher. 'Now, tell the driver to send this truck of soldiers to their camp.' ordered Joel. 'Yes sir!' replied Christopher before running off to pass the order. 'Hey birthday boy.' said Terence. 'Oh, it's you.' replied Vincent. 'Never expect this to happen did we?' asked Terence. 'I know what you mean. Horrible right?' asked Brendon while looking around at the wasted city. 'Why Singapore
though?' asked Brendon. 'Easy. They want to take over the Pacific, Singapore is small and can be easily taken. This is their first stop before moving on to Malaysia.' replied Terence. 'So it seems.' says Vincent. After what seems like 20 minutes of ride, they arrived at the camp. 'Alright people!' shouted Christopher, 'GO GO GO!!!'. Everyone rushes to get their equipment and then went back to the parade ground to gather. 'Geez, it's been so long since we done this.' said Brendon. 'Okay people!' shouted Joel. 'We will be guarding East Coast Park in case enemy troops come from the sea!' shouted Joel. 'We will be seperating you people into squads of 20! Now, Eugene, Kelvin, Terence, Amos, Darren, Nicholas and Alan! Report to me! The rest go and check the board in front of my office to see which team you are in! Be back before 0300!' shouted Joel once more. 'See you around.' said Brendon to Terence.

'We better find the nearest underground shelter.' said Vincent. Out of the sudden, all the electronics went dead. 'EMP?!?!' said Brendon. 'Likely.' replied Vincent. 'My mum must be worried sick.' said Charrise. 'Don't worry, I'm sure that we will see them soon.' said Brendon, trying to make Charrise feel better. 'Hey look.' said Vincent, pointing out to a figure of what seems like a girl, squatting on the floor and seems to be crying. Brendon walked over and put his hand over her shoulder. 'Are you okay? Are you hurt?' asked Brendon. The girl stood up and then looked at Brendon. 'Ish?' asked Brendon. Ish hugged Brendon and started crying again. 'It was so scary. Cars on the street suddenly exploded and buildings were exploding too. Everything caught fire. Children were crying, women are screaming and everyone was running. It was chaotic.' said Ish. 'Don't worry, we are here now. Let's hurry up and head to the underground shelter.' said Charrise to Ish. 'Look at the crowd.' said Vincent. 'This better be a nightmare and not be reality.' said Brendon. 'Alright people!' shouted a soldier who just arrived with his troops. 'Listen to me! Follow my troops and they will lead you to the shelter where it will be safe! Do not push! Stay in order! Next, can all guys above 20 and have finished NS please head over here to me!' shouted the soldier. 'Come on, let's go.' said Vincent. 'Wait! Where are you guys going?' asked Ish. 'It's a war. We have to go.' replied Brendon. 'Charrise, keep moving with Ish, follow the soldiers leading the way, go.' said Vincent. 'Alright, be safe you guys. Take care.' replied Charrise as they moved on with the crowd. 'Listen up! I am sergeant Joel Khoo! The North Koreans has started a war in the pacific! You guys have to head back to your camp, get your equipments and get ready for war!' shouted Joel. 'Geez, this is serious isn't it.' whispered Brendon to Vincent. 'Now, our technicians has recovered our transports! Get on your ride to your camp!' shouted Joel once more.
